The Shinka Shink are resonators or djembe cymbals that are placed around the head of the djembe. They come in many sizes and designs and represent the shields worn by the drummer in war. When the djembe is played the Shinka Shink creates a sympathetic metallic rattling, adding new dimension and accents to the music. They are slipped through the ropes of the djembes or can be secured with a rubber strip tied around the shell of the drum.
